Bushfire Rebuild

The tragedy of this summer's bushfires has touched all of us; our family, our friends and many of our customers.

In response to the significant destruction, not only have we stepped up production to quickly aid the many people who have already contacted us about rebuilding; we have incorporated a full range of building material options to comply with the newly revised building code requirements.

Bushfire Building Regulations

The Government has introduced new regulations for building in bushfire areas throughout Victoria. There are now 6 categories or levels for compliance for these new regulations.
Alternate Dwellings houses can be adapted to be built in all 6 categories. The highest or most stringent requirement (where the house is being built in an area surrounded by bush/forest and in direct contact with flames if there was a bushfire) is for the house to be on a concrete slab with brick or masonary cladding. Our designs can alsobe adapted for this level.

Other factors come into the bushfire equation like slope, distances from forested areas, forest canopy and bush density, our staff can help you with all your inquires for building in bushfire prone areas. We are happy to provided initial consultation for you to consider the type of Alternate Dwellings home you would like to build.
